This is another suggestion forum that i will be doing from time to time
If you haven't seen my last one 'how lights can be added' than im sorry for the deceptive titles.
This is the suggestion
Dual input rotators for cannards.
This means that the rotators can repsond to two controls.
Eg: roll and pitch
here is an example of dual input
Say a dual input rotator that had the controls of roll and pitch and was playing the roll of a cannard with the same control jobs
key
\ = pitch down at 15*
/=pitch up 15*
| = 0* rotated(non)
no controling
Left side cannard -> | | <- Right side cannard at the back of the plane( so pitching is inverted)
Pitching up
\ \
down
/ /
roll left
\ /
you get the point, but these are normal controls that normal single imput rotators cannards can do.
these is where dual input comes in
Rolling left+ pitchdown
| /
you see, these cannard will want to the push down and roll, this is doing a bit of both by creating downforce( downards pitch ) on one cannard which makes it push right
In summary
these double rotators are hard to explain
but more to the point is they increase the effectiveness of cannards on a plane and make it realistic ( like the F18 which doesnt have roll control surfaces on the main wings but has cannards which control and steer the entire aircaft apart from roll)
But also if you use say a cannard with the imputs VTOL and pitch and
Eurika!
you got yourself a pitch trim on your cannard!
if you dont get what im saying comment.
I did an experiment with decelerons and had four rotators stacked together for each surface - VTOL, pitch, roll, and yaw. It's a pain in the neck, but really cool when it works.
