"The leader in me" program?
Well if you haven't (it was in my old school)
It's this weird brainwashing program to "teach" kids to be "leaders" by using the "7 habits" and incorporating that language into daily life ("I was proactive today by putting first things first by doing my homework before I went to my friends, so it's a win-win for my friend and I" you get the point) it's gets worse from my experience... we'd watch PG or G movies (this was SEVENTH GRADE) and TAKE NOTES of how one character was using one of the seven habits (like how the Grinch didn't "seek first to understand, then to be understood")
(I'm bored right now if you couldn't tell)
Yeah... Common core is terrible. Here in MA, seniors in Honors-Level English classes have to review and have tests on 6th-grade level grammar. We could only watch G movies until High School, and in high school we can watch PG-13, but only with a signed permission slip... Bs, if you ask me.
@jsaret yep indeed, that too, it's screwed up with fractions as well
@Flightsonic gosh... I saw this question that went something like this:
7+5?
Common answer: 7+5=12.
"Correct" answer: Take 3 from 5, 7+3=10, 10+5-3=12.
@jsaret Common core, don't even get me strated... area in 7th grade?!? just different "easier" formula
Never had personal experience with this "curriculum," but from what I've read and heard it sounds completely ridiculous. This is why I'm glad I got through primary/secondary school before all these weird programs like common core math and this stuff got implemented. I was a good student but I think I would've gone nuts with this.
@Sirstupid LOL
@Sirstupid lol
Keeping rapping to we run out of power, what do you think this is, AMATURE HOUR!!!!!!!!!!
Try this: get an app on your phone that beeps once every ten seconds. Tell all the students in the class to pretend they don't hear it. Watch the teacher slowly go insane. @Flightsonic
Hahaha @Sirstupid
@Sirstupid lol
@Sirstupid trust me, it's better than LIM one way or another
I was proactive today by downloading adware so that I couldn't do my homework and could instead do better things. @Flightsonic
@Sirstupid my homework is on the web... so I can't do that
(Liek dis if u cri evry tiem)
Okay @Skua
I did the same (literally) @Sirstupid
@SPS13 no swearing on the site please
I was proactive today by lightning my homework on fire so I can do better things.
Well, we have the same shit in Ohio. My middle school principal trains staff and does seminars on Leader in Me around the nation. Luckily our school stops giving a shit about it when you are in the eighth grade.@Flightsonic
@SPS13 first in Michigan, only in Michigan
Dear god, my school was the first in Ohio to adopt that shit
