19.5k FennVectorCWA  8.6 years ago

It started with 3 stupid crew members who ran the system failure test that failed and resulted in death of the other 28 members .....later 500,000 died during 14 years in recovery process .....one of my friend died because of them one week ago ....he was innocent .....those in ukraine ....was innocent .....those in kiev ...was innocent ....in Belarus .....was innocent ......the farmers, the families who was left behind ,Even those in western europe .....radiation sh*t was not proplem for millenniums people lived for 100 and above they absorbed real few doses from mothernature but now there is R clouds you wont be safe the soil and water .....we can destroy earth if we cant stop using deodorants and cars then lets stop spreading Rads everywhere ....really .............SP Universe : my skill level can build the exterior of The 4th reactor Building before the explosion but i am not good at making neat fuselage blocks so you can make me some or you can build an imaginary reactor building from inside ..... Or one from outside after explosion (starring at you @kingdeadshot) im not joking ill try to make it before 26th of april. :) :/ :(

I actually am an avid nuclear hobbyist the explosions in Chernobyl was not JUST the scientists/workers during that time in the Soviet Union they were out of money so they could not do proper inspections in the reactor in fact they didn't have backup power and all of the fail safes ironicly failed which led to an explosion in the reactor instantly killing all those inside the room and cracked the reactor housing which then led it to spew lethal doses of radiation the government thought they could contain it and kept it from the city OF Chernobyl after 1day the Soviet government figured out it wasn't gonna end any time soon and evacuated Chernobyl and neighboring city's then in an effort to stop the radiation from getting further the FireFighters went into the reactor to put them out- you know what I'm done writing I'm gonna copy and paste on Wikipedia.... The disaster began during a systems test on 26 April 1986 at reactor number four of the Chernobyl plant, which is near the city of Pripyat and in proximity to the administrative border with Belarus and the Dnieper River. There was a sudden and unexpected power surge, and when an emergency shutdown was attempted, an exponentially larger spike in power output occurred, which led to a reactor vessel rupture and a series of steam explosions. These events exposed the graphite moderator of the reactor to air, causing it to ignite.[4] The resulting fire sent a plume of highly radioactive fallout into the atmosphere and over an extensive geographical area, including Pripyat. The plume drifted over large parts of the western Soviet Union and Europe. From 1986 to 2000, 350,400 people were evacuated and resettled from the most severely contaminated areas of Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine.[5][6] According to official post-Soviet data,[7][8] about 60% of the fallout landed in Belarus.Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus have been burdened with the continuing and substantial decontamination and health care costs of the Chernobyl accident. A report by the International Atomic Energy Agency examines the environmental consequences of the accident.[8] Another UN agency, UNSCEAR, has estimated a global collective dose of radiation exposure from the accident "equivalent on average to 21 additional days of world exposure to natural background radiation"; individual doses were far higher than the global mean among those most exposed, including 530,000 local recovery workers who averaged an effective dose equivalent to an extra 50 years o

@KingDeadshot if you want to get within 500 yards of the reactor then yes, you do need a suit

@KingDeadshot actually, In some parts, some of the radiation has gone down, such as in the main city, you can go on tours without them
