Prepare for a very, very long forum post
So I just hit gold and want to say thanks to everyone. Not only am I gold but I got one of planes my featured (My goal since day one) I would also like to recognize some people:
Hadesrocksz, been there with me since bronze
Frant24, my go to guy for XML modding
laSoul, helped encourage me to become a better builder
Sirstupid, he helped me out in what I have dubbed The Greatest Argument Over A Plane Of All Time
Also there are many others who helped me out and I am sorry if I did not put you in.
Now on to my SimplePlanes story:
December 10th, 2014: Scott Manley uploads a video, titled Simpleplanes - Design, Build, and Fly Planes on IOS/Android. I immediately think, 'KSP for my phone, holy crap!' and proceed to download it.
Fast forward about 4 months later (past my anonymous account days), to when I uploaded my F-14 MK1(Not my actual first plane)
About 5 months later after playing SP every once in a while, I uploaded my first 'popular' plane, the MiG-25 Foxbat
About 1 month later I hit silver and continue as what I would consider a regular SP user.
15(ish) days later in what I consider a milestone is when I uploaded my first really good plane, The F-15E Eagle
And now, the present. My plane got featured (last second too) and I am gold. I am truly happy Scott Manley uploaded that video (or things could have been very different), and thankful to have such an amazing community!
Happy to have bee. A part of your build carreer man!:D
Nice story. Scott brought me to Jundroo games with his video Simple Rockets - Mobile Rocket Sinulator with the same mentality you had: KSP for my phone! Yay! And immedietly bought it. Played happily undisturbed until I got an email from Andrew notifying me of the development of SimplePlanes! Fast forward a while, I get an email saying it's available on the App Store. I buy it immediately, and had some fun with it for a long time... Then I discover the website, and, well, the rest is history. Just got silver, so I may make a similar post...
Oh, I got a kick out of that argument.
Congratulations!
