Something I have noticed is that people heavily ignore most new/low points players, unless they have gotten a shoutout from a somewhat popular player, and even then they might still be ignored. I have seen lots of high qaulity work go unnoticed on the "New" category for recently made planes.....unless of course its made by someone thats at least silver. Is there any way small players will be able to get publicity? NOTE, THIS IS AN ALT FOR A YEAR OLD ACCOUNT, I AM NOT NEW.
So I. Gonna tell you a secret! Go to my planes page go to the bottom to the very first ones and slowly look at each screenshot I got contuously better and more noticed people like hadezrocks and Salvador were the ones who helped me kick off and now look were I am I'm getting at least 5 up votes on each of my planes all it takes is practice so just practice and take people's advice and you'll do just fine! :)
A lot of good advice here already. I'd just say to keep making stuff and to get involved with the challenges that people put up. It may also be worth giving the tournaments a go - even if you can't make something fast enough to win, if it's fast or eye-catching you'll get noticed.
@PHALANXxALT I know exactly how you feel, most of my planes were rubbish and never noticed until I had my main break that pushed me from 352 points to where i am now pretty much. The key is to try and find something unique that hasn't really been done before. If it's unique and people do enjoy it, the plane will get publicity and sometimes a feature.
Another thing, although this might not apply to you, USE NUDGE! (if you don't know what it is check your control settings, it allows you to move things with tiny movements ignoring collisions) It seriously empowers you to do so many cool things, improves your creations so much and enables you to add tonnes of detail. That detail will get your creation noticed.
I know how you feel dude, I was once a white, and I love the idea of tabs/sections for diffrent types like tabs for whites, and silvers, and bronze and golds etc
@FatNinja Amen!
i was once a unknown guy in the community. if you become more co-operative, participate in more forums, feedback and challenges, surely, you will be noticed.
of course, don't beg for attention like some desperate kid. remember guys, It's just a game!
When you're just starting out, you need something unique for people to link to your name. I think my "uniqueness" was my black screenshots at the beginning of my account life. Help the Disabled With this post, I was noticed a lot more because of how I drew attention to the black screenshots. I started getting more followers and upvotes. Unusual ideas like ValtsuAircraftIndustries's are the way to go as well. Setting yourself apart is the best way to get noticed.
I am alt of an account made around a year ago, thats how. @jdulmer @Frant24
No offense, but how does a brand new, by brand new I mean, have been a member for only hours, have an accurate picture of how this online community works? I have had a lot of members give me constructive advice, comments and Upvotes. Give it more than a few hours before you pass judgement...
@HellFireKoder Yep. It does
Followers bruh, also really detailed stuff.
@PHALANXxALT iOS does have nudging, you just need a keyboard or something to bind nudge to.
@PHALANXxALT Actually. A mod explained some people nudged on mobile using the Volume buttons on headphones
@SimpleTechAndResearch True, but IOS doesnt have nudging.
@PHALANXxALT Yeah. But there's a mix in some planes. If a Windows User that has played for a while created an account. And then created an Amazingly detailed plane that's Functions work. It would get noticed Quickly
@SimpleTechAndResearch I understand that, but I have still noticed that people usually look at the things that are better cosmetically than functionally.
@PHALANXxALT Actually it doesn't fully matter on points. As I'm a gold player I'm a bit unnoticed. It's the followers who take a big play in making someone popular. Like a Bronze player could be getting more noticed then me. And I'm fine with that
@SimpleTechAndResearch Yet when there are the oh so rare good planes made by new players, they go unnoticed due to them being low points players, and people just assume everything on the new page is horrible, and focus too heavily on the highest rated page.
Well. Some of those planes can be quite bad. But that's probably becuase they're new
