A successful plane to me is one I'm proud of building and I know had a lot of time and effort put into it regardless of what the stats are for it. My favorite build is the Simple Hexacopter that I built. It has 0 upvotes and 51 downloads after two months of being up, but it's still my favorite creation.

I think a first 24hr 7 upvotes and 40 downloads is just fine.
But it's more important that I like it and enjoyed building.
If a plane flys great and looks good. And if it has extras like a working cockpit, Bombay doors, can transform etc. it is that much better.

For me, its if it flies and looks good. Also, if it has an acceptable range.
