You're testing the armour on your Ant APC, and from the side, the airbrakes do nothing to protect the APC, they kinda just explode from the boom 25. Do the exact same thing but with airbrakes extended (pitch w) and the explosion merely nudges the APC.

    @Solarisaircraft Actually, a lot of the science that I know is either picked up from TV or from my own research. While most 8 year olds were watching Cartoon Network, I was watching Discovery Channel.

    When they're flat, the shockwave is hitting the vehicle with its full force, thus, destroying it. But when they're extended, the air brakes redirect the shockwave due to the angle and it doesn't do much more than nudge the vehicle a bit.
