The introduction of shocks were to make the suspension yourself, now if you use shocks on the resizeable wheels that now have their OWN suspension and traction it makes it bounce absurdly or drift stupidly.
I thought the wheels were perfect BEFORE the traction and suspension options
Its too steery at low speed and not steery enough at top speeds. Driving off a cliff cause traction, flipping 80 meters into the air because extra wheel suspension. Along side the fact everything is disbursing fast for being 10,000 pounds and only using the new engine with 800hp, How does something that weights 5 TONS manged to go 120mph on Yager aiport runway with only a single 800hp engine and RWD?
The new rotaters have these stupid engine thing that suppose to be what turns the part but can only be removed if you set turn speed to floppy which makes hinge rotaters become hinges...
The shocks get broken if you use the realizable wheels with them, along side the fact they are a set size and can't be adjusted is annoying.
The piston got the same treatment as the shocks with the lack of being able to change the length of them pre-extended, and you can't make them extend in the editor which means you can't use them to make landing gear for lets say a spaceship...
The beacons (lights) are pretty dull to me. I was using them and the lights didn't even light up the terrain at night. I prefer the light mod honestly but it seems to be broken now with this update.
The islands are cool but I don't even use them since I can't seem to get the locations to work...
I tried to make floppy landing gears like the B777 have. But it causes my plane to spontaneously combust. Help please
That makes sense... @DarkLithium
@DarkLithium ok, Ill look it up
@FrankieB Then look it up, since I can't remember...
@DarkLithium I did that, I just saw the sea monster
@DarkLithium ok thanks!
@FrankieB Spawn at Yager airport and travel north, when you see a string of islands follow them...
@DarkLithium where is the snow island, and I agree with everything you said in this post
@SpiritusRaptor I think the devs are trying to make things like the wheels themselves including the physics but they could have easily used assets from the unity asset store to get the physics done right easily...
Ok, I hear you... @DarkLithium I don't think these are necessarily issues also, its just that SP has its limits and half of the challenge is finding work-arounds to these - pushing the limits in fact...
@SpiritusRaptor Hey don't get me wrong the update is awesome but the amount of issues with it can ruin it...
Not such a happy camper then?
@DarkLithium agreed
@AeroEngineering True but it would have been a nice feature
@TheMajesticMrL @DarkLithium the beacons were never inteded to light up terrian. tghe are only to make planes visible at night. A landing light sould light up terrian, not a beacon.
@TheMajesticMrL Yep
And what I mean by the light mod is "broken" is that they work, but the parts are invisible so it can be hard to move them or tell where they are.
@TheMajesticMrL I have cover the entire snow island and haven't got a single location, it doesn't make much sense so I will just look in the files to see If i can cheat the locations in...
Also I'm not sure what's up with your locations. They work fine for me. You just have to fly over the areas where they are, although I guess it can be hard to tell exactly WHERE you need to fly over.
@TheMajesticMrL I forgot about the beacons! But yeah they really suck
@DarkLithium Well the wheel problem I agree with yeah. The lights also seem pretty dull to me? Like I was using a car someone made and the lights didn't even light up the terrain at night. I prefer the light mod honestly but it seems to be broken now with this update.
@TheMajesticMrL Is there anything you want to see changed before the official launch?
