This is not meant to be condescending at all... As a former Law Enforcement Officer, who worked in some of the worst neighborhood's in Washington DC, I had lost a lot of hope for the younger generation. But, the kindness, goodwill, and helpfulness I have seen here has given me new hope. The creativity I see amazes me as well. Thanks for the renewed hope.
YOURE WELCOME
No. Thank you.
@jdulmer
I did my job, no thanks is necessary.... Good luck and stay safe! @AceOfSpade
I am presently a police explorer. I plan to become a cop in my small town. Thank you for keeping our neighborhoods safe.
@jdulmer
looking at the feedback on US Education, i find myself quitw fortunate to have great teachers whom i can approach and ask for help anytime i want.
however, i must say that education in Singapore is really fast paced and set on the highest difficulty here. A major exam for every 12 year old, a even bigger exam at 16, and a very difficult choice on our ambition. If you don't have any specific goal in mind, you will be forced either by society or family.(asian problems...."you must be a doctor!", "enginee!", etc....)
Serve the Army rig after education, then to the workforce,
Then retire at 67, and counting.
But it is all worth it :D
@bskngshrk @Flightsonic @Flightsonic thanks!
@jdulmer Happy silver!
You're a great user @jdulmer ! And from what I can tell, a great person. It is reassuring to randomly meet nice people on the internet, and this site is a great example of creativity and community pride :)
Holy cow! Thanks for all the Upvotes guys (gals)... Most of you seem to have your heads screwed on straight. I always liked this quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet, "To thine own self be true." Just be you. Let the others worry about themselves. Thanks again, this thread is refreshing.
@Thefalloutplayr you were temp banned only because of the specific situation in which you joined in. General discussion is fine, and I hold nothing against you
@spefyjerbf That's pretty much what my sister says😂
@Thefalloutplayr Eye of the Tiger or Dont stop Believing are also very good songs. I have to go to school now. Bye.
Eh Bon jovi's pretty good!@KnightOfAraluen
@Thefalloutplayr My brother like 50s and 70s. I dont agree with him, but it beats a lot of modern music. Btw, Bon Jovi would be my favorite.
@CyberDyneIndustries It is nice to see people who actually agree with my friends and I.
Oh god no not the 80s I like the 50s 40s and some 60s but sure not 70s 80s or even 90s for that matter!!! Dion all the way!@KnightOfAraluen
I once thought you were the bad one but I realize actually that other guy is the agresor (note I'm not naming ng names so I don't get a temp ban) !!and for the mod !!if this upsets any rule or giuideline just take the post down and say don't do it again because skua honestly overreacted a lot @OldColonel
Woo!
@CyberDyneIndustries Highschool gets a bit different, but you will most likely notice a whole new set of problems and flaws with the system.
@PlanesOfOld @KnightOfAraluen I couldn't agree more with all of this. Most of the work we do in school is too easy, and our "accelerated" classes have people (no offense to them) who are not quite accelerated. The entire system seems quite redundant, for we basically review the same curriculum over and over again.
P.S. I totally agree with you on the music aspect, and I'm a 7th grader!
Awww, thanks!
I'm glad t hear other ppl see this too! Gets depressing thinking I'm the only one sometimes @goboygo1
@PlanesOfOld Glad to hear everything is ok. I am glad my teachers arent like that. They are very fun and nice.
Again, amazed at the responses to this threads...
@Thelaw11 Very true... I totally agree. @PlanesOfOld I was a youth group leader at church. A lot of the kids ther are home-schooled. It is definately the better way to go. If I could do it again, my kids wouldve been home-schooled.
