How to F-22

42.4k Supercraft888  8.6 years ago

So I'm starting my gold build which is going to be an f-22 raptor, but I have no idea where to start.

I'm thinking of using structural panels for the fuselage, this will be my most detailed, advance, and largest build...

Actually no that's the b-52 that Frankie and I did...so second most detailed, advance and largest build ever...

Anyway!!! Back on track, what do you guys think? How should I start, I'm also thinking of using Rohan's cockpit as well

I've done research and stuff but what do you mean front centre? Do you mean like the nose cone?

I'm not a big-name platinum Simple Planes user, but I'm into replicas and can give a small piece of advice here: Your starting point needs to be RESEARCH. Spend an hour searching through images, Wikipedia, etc. and get accurate measurements for as many pieces of the aircraft as possible. Use an "on-screen ruler" (Google it) to measure individual parts. Once your data is all set up, then pick a spot to start (recommend starting in the front center, working your way to the back center (right down the middle), then expanding outwards from there. Don't focus too much on the cockpit too early, build the airframe then build the cockpit, engines, intakes, wings, etc. afterwards. When I have some time I'm going to make a post on how I measure images to plan scaled replicas, but it's going to take some time to put together.

I always start with the cock piss area and continue to the nose and then the back end

I advise that you build another fighter, because there are just too many professional F-22 raptors on Simpleplanes, your plane might not get noticed.
