Can we get some 100mm guns for tanks up in here?! Ideas:
Parts:
1. Resizable tank tracks
2. 100mm cannon
3. 75mm cannon
4. 50mm cannon
5. 20mm cannon
6. Resizable armor pieces
7. Wire-guided anti-tank missiles
More:
1. Choice between ammo types (Normal, HE, AP, I, API, etc.)
2. Choice between manual or auto-loading for the 20mm cannon
3. Choice of how armored a certain piece is for a regular fuselage block, and the more armor there is the heavier but more resilient the piece and/or vehicle is
@TankBoyBrazil still wondering if the devs will add it eventually... XD
It is indeed a nice idea!
Just make a resizeable cannon part, life would be twice as fun!
I think this is going too far. I understand wheels, suspension, and engines but tank tracks and guns?
We need this
@Waemoth yeah, one resizable gun would be much easier to use and follow the trend that other new parts like wheels and fuselage blocks have set where they have many options to change them. And seeing what a hard time the wheel physics are giving the devs I doubt tracks are going to be a thing, especially when people can already make them
Tank tracks would also be nice, but you have to keep in mind that the development of the main game has to come first.
I really like building tanks, but I think that this is waaay overkill. Adding a tankgun, which hou could select caliber, bullet weight, velocity and what sound it makes would be sufficient. I know that this is an old argument, but it's simple planes, not complicated tanks.
Is this possible in the beta without opening XML files using wing guns?
Those are my prototype tracks I have newer ones I haven't posted yet @Spikerya
@AeroEngineering Haven't tried that yet, just pointed out that you can
@Spikerya yes. Youcan mod the time between shots, caliber, bullet mass, bullet weight, and now the size of the gun.
@kikasshes if you rescale the guns, do the bullets rescale proportionatly?
@kikasshes are you able to XML mod having only one shot every 5 seconds or so?
You could resize the wing guns
@TehDuck and btw im on mobile, lol
@TehDuck ive seen them but havent messed around with them yet
I already have some fully functioning tank tracks if you'd like to see?
