It just sets the traction to 100% for forward and sideways and hides the slider. The real purpose is to simplify the part properties and not make it so overwhelming at first glance.
@ChunderDownUndeR I think the Auto setting has about the same traction on both the runway and on the grass. But it has overall slightly less traction than 150% traction.

@kikasshes Maybe because the traction is fixed to certain amount?
Whatever it is, I don't use it on my planes (Too much forward traction)

Just tried it and saw no difference. but then again i put too much horsepower in my testing engine
