Yet another beta update was just pushed to Steam. This is a possible release candidate if no major problems pop up.

Patch notes for this update - v1.4.0.7

  • Added Cycle option for pistons
  • Fixed an issue where guns with low fire rates could not fire
  • Explain why Range and Direction settings disappear in the piston's part properties
  • Fixed a bug with part scale and prop engines
  • AI no longer counts structural panels toward wing count for AI
  • Terrain tweaks
  • Increased volume level for one of the music tracks
  • Added dialog for spawning/despawning AI planes
  • Added a discoverable location for the new racetrack

    Found a bug with Rocket pods.. If you lower its mass below 0.5 it will drop out of its connection when after firing its rockets. at a really low value the pods will drop at the first shot.

    @JMicah4 Can you elaborate a little bit on the piston lag? A link to an aircraft would be ideal if you can demonstrate the problem.

    @AeroEngineering Next time you notice the lag, pop open the dev console and see if you are getting any errors.

    @AndrewGarrison, @PhilipTarpley, @nathanmikeska was the maneuverability of interceptor missiles changed in the recent patches? I feel like they dont hit anything that is not comming straight at me within 4km when the missile is launched

    I can't enter the editor anymore. I've tried reinstalling the game but it didn't help.

    I think yall broke something. A 66 part car chassie lags lat about 1 fps on medium settings. (the editor is just fine)
    edit: I reloaded the level a few minuets later, and the lag was gone

    I know the mobile update is still a ways away, but I do have some questions. First of all, I know there wont be new islands, but is there a possibility for a racetrack on the existing ones? And second, Would it be possible to make some different airports? The current ones are good, but I was thinking along the lines of something more detailed and interesting. Thank you devs for this great game, and I wish you the best of luck.

    So I discovered 2 things 1. the cycleling pistons move slower than the rest of the game in lag. 2. never spawn this.
    edit: The car engine still sound even after running out of fuel.

    I really am pleased with this update. My only wishes are that we can bind hinges and rotators to the retract button, and paint blocks translucent. @BoxGlow I don't know if that can be done without Extensive divelopment. I mean, first we'd need a city or town for the cars, and more docs for ships. also, the AI would need to be on par with AI from games like Grand Theft Auto. @AndrewGarrison

    I did not expect this. Great addition to the game!. But is it possible to designate our creations into airplane/land vehicle/ ship? Or you could also add a dialog box which lets us select where to spawn the plane? like in land, sea, air...
