Ive been studying and designing a few ornathopters lately but all of them need to be spawned in the air. I tried using links of connectors to tow it behind an aircraft but that turned into a disaster. What else could I use to launch them? I've tied landing gear on the wings but that didn't work either, the wings would hit the ground. At the moment my creations are powered by moving the slider bar up and down which can be abit difficult but it works. Maybe a sleigh?
@ThePrototype doesnt mean its still active.
@ThePrototype le durp
I'm stupid I just realized this post was over a year ago lol@TheOwlAce
I made an ornithopter that can take off from the ground Che k it out if you want it might be in my post or normal page not sure @TheOwlAce
@Manboy Then I cant help you, im on PC and even if I wasnt on beta I cant go back to the older versions.
@TheOwlAce a high-end Android.
@Manboy Um, well no, what are you gaming with? PC?
I have an idea! Its too "complex" for me to explain, so could you make a ornithopter that is not beta? Thx
here you go

@Umbreon I made a rocket sled for minr
@SpiritusRaptor what?
I used a take off sled
FYI x 2
U can use a missile for propulsion if you put it in a box. That's what I use for my ornithopters to take off
Sleds, Launch Harnesses, Launch Pads, Rocket Sled, ICB Style Rocket Booster With It instead of a war head
Well, i was thinking of using this old thing. (https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/VQt9S3/Ju-50-D-2)
@TheOwlAce Type this:
[whatever you want the link to say] (link URL)
only without space in between
@Umbreon How do you do that link thing?
@TheOwlAce Alright. Try doing It with something like this only, remove the bomb first.
@Umbreon Dont worry about it, I found a solution! Im doing to piggy-back the ornathopter on a larger plane.
@TheOwlAce Actually, I might not be able to because your planes are beta :/ You think it'd be possible to upload one that isn't beta?
@TheOwlAce Maybe I'll find a way around that, just give me some time and I'll provide.
@Umbreon Ive already tried it myself, it didnt work with that one for some reason, it could be the wings on the ornithopter. If I use chains they drag the glider down the tow plane with it. If its a straight beam that doesnt move then the tow aircraft twist till it snaps off and crash.....I got it!
if they take off vtol style then use skids
