@JacobHardy64 Late, but agreed yeah. The A-10 serves its role extremely well enough. Although who knows what will happen. :/

That's retarded. I believe that fighting a force such as ISIS, we don't need a $163 million dollar plane. The A-10 does a better job in those conditions for $18 million than the F-35 will be able to do.
Nothing developed today or within a few years will be able to replace the A-10 anytime soon. Maybe something 5-10 years from now, but nothing soon. The A-10 is purpose built for Close Air Support, and it does that well at a fraction of the price of an F-35. The F-35 is great and I've seen one in action, but it's better off not challenging something at its own game.
