Well, with the new smaller rotators, the old rotators have become redundant. So, perhaps they could be converted (with an hidden 'legacy' mode, so that old designs keep working) to a 'motor'. This would mean that it would act like a rotator, but you can connect it to a car engine and it would keep rotating. This would be handy on so many levels, including the endless rotator problem and the helicopter engine problem.
@WNP78 they prob have their hands full currently
GREAT FREAKING IDEA!
umm, devs? Why are we being ignored?
@ThePhantomGuy that belongs to @Seabo14
Oh thanks! Nice choppa btw!@WNP78
@ThePhantomGuy and since you're going to ask me for a plane that does have them, look here.
@ThePhantomGuy passengers? You just have to download a plane with them on, and add them as a subassembly.
How do you get those anyway? @WNP78
@HBirdmanAATL that happens with the old rotators too, is something to do with the physics of rotation in the game etc etc etc. its pretty annoying QwQ
I kinda agree with this. Only in that the only difference I've found between the new and old rotators is that the new ones aren't as "robust" as the old ones. I tried using some of the new ones to build a cycling for a tilt rotor I've been working on. They would bend and strain and caused the aircraft to jiggle every time I tried to change the pitch.
10 upvotes on a suggestion- it's time to call in the devs!
@AndrewGarrison
@PhillipTarpley
@NathanMikesa
@BritishNarwhal No, there would be a 'legacy' version, a bit like the passengers, which is hidden.
but wouldnt that effect the stock plane "pigpen" and other planes that use the old rotator for pitch?
Or thy cycle option for rotators like on pistons
@jsaret that's the spirit!
HECK YEAH! We should be able to do that with little rotators too!
