BETA: shocks for tires

So I recently built a very decent vehicle frame and I still don't have a clue how the shocks work. Can someone care to explain?

Basically less damper and spring settings equal to a soft cushion pillow like feeling. And it's the opposite for higher settings.

Ok so you got the spring strength and the damper.

The Spring strength is how hard do you want the spring around the shock to be.
For example if you set it to low Spring strength the spring will take less force to be pushed down. And if you set it to a higher Spring strength it will take more force for it to be pushed down.

The Damper Setting is the recoil effect of the shock within the spring.
For Example if you set it the damper to low it will make the shock recoil effect soft and if you set it to high the shock will be hard and more violent.
