Since I've learned how to make helicopters as well as planes, I thought it would be great to learn how to make tanks too. Tell me anything you know about making a good tank. I'd especially like to know how to make it do pivot turns. Thanks!

@IStoleYourMeme you can use scaled airbrake like 0.5, 3,1 put this in xml of airbrake and you can make ERA [explosive reactive Armour]
@Scottydoesthings That's what I've done, I'm almost finished with it but the suspension is a headache
(Just for the turret) VTOL for the traverse and trim for the elevation?
@IStoleYourMeme if you set every pair of wheels on opposite sides of the vehical to the engine, and make every other pair AG 1 or 2, then reverse the direction of the AG 2 wheels, you can get a reverse in with roll steering. Make sense? If not you can check out my Ferdinand to get a general idea of what I mean
I don't think tracks are necessarily what makes a tank good in this game but the detail in the chassis and armour (to date I haven't made a tank(like) vehicle with tracks, atv' s with tracks but not tanks
@General360 I've checked out how you made it work. It seems a bit difficult to control so I just bound the engines to roll, sacrificing the ability to go in reverse.
@GINGER01 @General360 @yeolde1rishman @TehDuck Thanks for the tips everyone!
This was my first tank
I usually start with the tracks align the width mirror it then start from there
Track are HARD, so Ilussions using wheels and fake "tracks" work best.
I've heard that you should use the vtol engines and thrusters as propulsion. Makes the tank easier to move and turn.
