I know right? why not try to "steal" my IP for a IP Ban?
im sorry about the rickroll :/ I did it because i got really bored that day.
And also its amazing you can actually "send" messages to my ingame console.
TL;DR Sorry m8 for'a tick'in ya off.
@HellfireKoder
Oh and for people who dont know and think im crazy, yes... i am crazy, indeed!
P.S. If your still mad.. have a kitten :3
Floating origin kittens... my favorite
@inspectregaben Oh.. right! Oh course!
@Flightsonic we are talking about kittens! I swear!
Wait... are you guys talking about what I think you are?
@HellFireKoder aww shucks!... i dont know what else to say... maybe try thinking outside the box?? maybe you could check this.... Github link... its a mod for KSP and its for multiplayer maybe you could read some of its code and borrow some? since KSP runs on unity it should be similar..
@inspectregaben ... No, the devs added floating origin (a long time ago) so that doesn't matter, and we accounted for the floating origin.
@HellFireKoder i think i know why... its far from the center of the map, in theory if you detatch the part close to the center of the map it should be a little more accurate, try to test that.
@inspectregaben The position is off a bit, even though we've accounted for everything that should matter for position, and it spits errors, and breaking detached parts more doesn't exactly function correctly...
@HellFireKoder dang it... i forgot to ask... how does it not "Sync" properly? does it vibrate imensly or just plain doesnt move?
@inspectregaben Physics are clientside, for the owner of the detached part, then they send the position and rotation to the server, which gives it to the other clients... and just deleting it? Then how are we supposed to have epic battles!?!?!??! Thanks but, no XD
@HellFireKoder why not make detatched parts clientside only? (By that i mean, making the physics take place on the clientside. on the otherhand, the server deletes it... (Example: Player A detatches a part, it appears to him but on the serverside it gets deleted and Player 2 Cant see it..))
@inspectregaben No, I didn't do anything to the aircraft loading.
And there's nothing new, since we got detached parts to sync NOT QUITE right :/
@HellFireKoder say.. did you fiddle with the Aircraft loading? it was acting strange this evening... did you do it?
Finally hows that multiplayer mod doing? (i havent read anything)
Ah. You remember him though? He was LOADS of fun @HellFireKoder
@JacobHardy64 No, it was a post he put on here, which he actually deleted shortly after XD
@inspectregaben something like that, and Unity does it automatically
Was he the Matt guy on the wormy mc wormface stream? @HellFireKoder
@HellFireKoder thats Noice... so its possible but i assume SP "Hardcodes" or "Packs" the files into a small file that contains it all compressed for storage and less clutter? and to replace a model you will need to "Unpack" the files? (If thats even the correct Term) and then you could "Replace" the model? Per se?
@inspectregaben you can make custom parts, based off existing parts, with a custom model, but replacing the stock one would be... theoretically possible, somehow, but it'd be terrible XD
And yeah, you can also have custom scripts on the custom parts.
@HellFireKoder What? SP has a subreddit? i havent heard of this?! WOW... the more you know.
also, i was thinking... is it possible to modify the model of a part? because i was thinking if it was possible if you could make a Heli rotor model the adds or replaces the T1000
And includes the code of your Gyroscopic Cockpits that allows it to stabilize (If it works that way...)
@inspectregaben I was thinking PM on reddit, which I would specify (and verify my username for them).
@HellFireKoder the problem is.. that eh... theres no PM in SP Forums maybe you could add a link to your email?
@inspectregaben It has the game check a file I've got uploaded somewhere, but it's pretty simple for Unity to read bytes from a remote file (there's a built-in helper class for it), it's a bit more complex to actually send anything out (though it shouldn't be too bad, I haven't really looked into it yet... so, maybe it's just as easy and I'm just clueless :P)
@inspectregaben LOL, well, I meant to remove the ban as soon as you said anything about it... you just never did XD, and you dodged it instead! I think future bans might say to PM me to get it removed(unless someone earns a permanent ban)
Anyway, sorry, I'm really sick of rickrolls coming back on this site, and getting my guard down by saying it's a mod? That's now an officially bannable offense in my book! (just a temp ban)
:P
P.S. Yes, I can be mean if you push my buttons... nobody worry though, for just pushing my buttons, you certainly aren't going to get a permaban... actually, I wanted to test the ban list in action anyway, so thanks for that! I now know that it's far too weak for anything serious XD
@HellFireKoder actually i did receive that message. doesnt it require the game to connect to your machine (Or what machine you set it to) and recieve some kind of packets to tell the mod what to do?
