@creedon Jet engines require air to operate as they suck in air through the engine, combust it with fuel to increase pressure/velocity, which is then used to push the aircraft forward. It doesn't matter where you place the intakes on an aircraft, so long as there's a sufficient number of them to supply the engines with air.
