I'd have to say it's somewhere along the lines of either the Sherman Firefly or the M10 TD. Both fast, light and pack a punch. Like in a boxing ring with Jerry- just a big one-two, dodging all of Panther's shots.
The latter Pattons, the M48 and the M60. Great machines. Best combination of armor and mobility in the West before composite armor. The Leopard 1 and OF-40 (which is basically an Italian-made Leopard 1) has no armor to speak of, and the Chieftain has a great cannon and armor -- if you got the engine to work. Even if you did, you're pretty slow.
