Hummel Meet-and-Greet

13 Meerkats encountered 20, very angry Tuetonic Hummels, over the skies just above the city of Rason. The 13 airplanes were going to a larger airbase for a refit later that evening, although they were patrolling the skies at the time.
The men from the V-Wave were alerted by a radio operator that 30 unidentifiable aircraft were flying over head. The planes were at first thought to be a flight of Ex-Soviet planes going to a airshow/being sent to a yard. The lead Kat that was being flown by Seong-Hu Tang, and navigated by Lucas Tyo then broke of to investigate the strange mass of planes.
Horrified the men radioed back what the had just seen. One of the enemy pilots gave chase. To his surprise, the planes he thought were out-dated were able to engage him, even before he knew of their existence. The man ejected and was found a few miles away wondering the streets. When he was being arrested the man said, "I was met by the tall dessert mammals, they hurt like hell."
The man is currently in custody, him and 5 more of his squadmates are in a undisclosed location, being held by the NFK. The other Me-191s followed suit, either caught by "tall dessert mammals", or AA fire. Eventually, the sole Me-191 to escape the city was caught by a lone ReF-15. The pilot was found stuck in a tree, however he had died . . . the cause is unknown.
A single Kat took 3 bullets to the canopy, injuring Lelia Myere, a NAVCO. However, the plane, and her are now fine. All 30 Hummels were destroyed, 24 hit the deck due to the "mammals", whilst 5 ate lead, and one was caught by a ReF. The squadron is now often called the "Mammals". It was a small victory agianst a very large foe.

Some have reported multiple attack and bombing aircraft flowing the planes. In the hundreds, we believe they were forced to turn off after we destroyed their escorts.

@PINK True. Although according to the Hellenics, many who were Olympians who fought them, this is merely part of a larger test of strength of your forces, to know your force's capabilities and limitations. It is believed that unlike our divisions, which standardize on a single type, their divisions have a variety of types. This has been confirmed by the Hellenic Air Force.

I doubt they would send only 30 jets to escort hundreds of attack aircraft. Such is inconsistent with Olympian and Hellenic Air Force reports, which indicate that they typically have an escort-attacker ratio of 2:1, and an escort-bomber ratio of 3:1. That means they would have had 15 attackers or 10 bombers; attackers and bombers operate separately. Given the numbers you gave, they were probably bombers. Some variants have the ability to launch small drones that mimic a bomber's radar and infrared profile in order to exaggerate size and make it more difficult for ground-based defenses or guided missiles of all types to attack the actual bombers.

Interesting...they must have been from a much less experienced squadron.

The Me-191, against reservist Hawk, proved quite an adversary. Those guys were quite skilled, but ours were too.
