Hidden Engine Attributes?

1,340 COREdevelopment  8.5 years ago

I was in the DesignerParts.xml file seeing what I could find. in each engine, I see <--! followed by StudioSettings, the line is brown. I saw a similar thing in the VehicleData.xml file in a PC game called Nitronic Rush, in that game I removed the --! and relaunched it to find a new vehicle in the Vehicles menu, the Knight Cycle. Could this be the same thing here?

We just use that studio stuff when taking pictures of parts for thumbnails in the part list. It won't do anything in the game. We use C# scripting with Unity for SimplePlanes.

<--! Is used to insert notes I think. Like stuff that doesn't affect the code. I could be wrong though my knowledge of code is extremely basic

@AndrewGarrison What would this do if he removed the "--!"? Also, what language did you code SimplePlanes?
