Okay, so lately, I've noticed a lot of craft have been using more "glass". What if, for paint, past "gloss" could be a setting, "glass" that adds some transparency to the part? Then, you wouldn't have these awkward, shining blue squares on planes, or weird empty spots, but instead, legit glass.
=EDIT= And with the wonderful idea from Ben down in the comments, perhaps we could have a few other materials as well, just to give our craft that extra bit of eye-candy. Something even nicer to look at! Wood, corroded metal, chrome, paper-- whatever else you guys can think of, just toss it in! :D

@Somberbask That wouldn't be bad :D It's be easier to add ensignea, as well as making it look, potentially, more professional, like decals.

Chrome is already available in the form of XMLed super-gloss paint. It'd be nice to just have it as a manual option in-game.

A transparency modifier in the paint data would be nice too, so we can make it totally invisible for some reason, or partially transparent. 1 being opaque, 0 being the unseen.
It would be a lot to tap that button 10000 times to get to what you want, so maybe a drop down menu to select.
