How to test my race plane?

7,305 OtterOfToast  8.5 years ago

Apparently me and the raceplane A.I fly on totally different levels. I know how to fly my craft and the computer goes HURRRDURRRRRRR and slams into the sea for no reason.

Is there any way I can actually test the A.I on my craft in a race to see if it's up to scratch? I'm kinda' tired of being knocked out first heat by default.
Please, is there any way AT ALL possible to switch the track's A.I plane with my own to test how is melds?

@Geekpride I don't have that. I have the annoying basic layout, not the dogfights layout. I have the plane editor, then straight into the race.

@OtterOfToast It looks like you're using the Windows version, is that right? You really should have it. Go to race against opponents mode in the sandbox section and the box is there.

@Geekpride Well-- no I can't. That's in dogfights. There is no button to test the AI on your plane in race mode :(

@OtterOfToast No, it's not new. I guess you just didn't have a reason to look out for it before.

In race against opponents mode, select your plane and tick the "Computer Controlled" box. The AI will then attempt to fly the plane for you.

In the race, your plane will be controlled by the AI. The fun of the race is to make a plane that the AI can fly and win with. If the AI can't fly the plane, then you have some work to do!
