I don't think they would, besides, materials used to increase the stealthyness of aircraft can be very heavy and sensitive. @Thomasj041
Maybe the F22 is faster than people think, because the government is hiding classified information about the plane. Maybe.
Almost all of the planes listed are; faster, have super cruise, and have a better electronics suit. @Gmanndo1000

@Gmanndo1000 bulky, ugly, poor weaponry, Heck, even the A-10 would destroy it in air-to-air. Slow as well.
@PINK I've seen it do combat missions in Afghanistan on YouTube, it was thought of in the Cold War, so it was built to take on high tech fighters, now their not used much because well, ISIS doesn't have fighter jets.
It is pretty bad, to the point of never being combat ready, and doesn't have a reliable electronics suit. It is infact pretty bad, same as the F-35. @Gmanndo1000

No, it is mostly the Marines need for a jet that can take off and land anywhere. The only STOVL that I could see being effective in combat is the Yak-141. @Gmanndo1000 @MikuKat
They don't carry as many weapons as the Su-35, which carry 10-14 missiles so they know they gonna hit. The F-35 carries 4, and as both missile types are not perfect, they might not allways work. @Gmanndo1000 @MikuKat
@PINK yea, I don't trust that engine flip system one bit. The Air Force just needs to give the marines a few decent jets.
The Harrier is piss poor as well, however, as the F-35 was never originally a STOVL....which makes it even more deadly to the man flying it. @Gmanndo1000 @MikuKat

@PINK In an aircraft book I have, they can carry a TON of weapons, atleast give em' that.
No, they are not stealthy, acept from the front and back with some types of radar. They are also inherently bad at flying because they are VTOL. @Gmanndo1000
