So, I am beginning to test out my new plane (Sneak Peak posted), but it refuses to take off. I haven't done anything to the engines, just kept it neutral. There are no car engines (resize able wheels are on this plane) and it has 4 engines (the turboprop kind) at max HP. Can someone give me tips so I can release this awesome plane and make it work? Here are some other features:
The horizontal stabilizers control surfaces are the biggest I could get them.
The (primary and tail) wings are partially covered with fuselage.
It's max ground speed is I think 180-230mph?
It weighs 16K pounds and also has 907gallons of fuel
in air it just falls down gradually.
On ground it the tail gear lifts up but when I pull up the tail goes down and the plane doesn't lift off.
Someone please give me tips so I can fix it!
My best guess is that it doesn't have enough power?
Edit: Thanks to KCferrari, it now flys, thanks man!
@DisferGoatz awesome, glad to help
@KCferrari I got it down to 75, and it flys now! Thank you so much!
@KCferrari alright, I'll make the wings bigger and see if that works.
@DisferGoatz That's too high. the most you can fly at is pretty much 90 IF its well balanced. You need more wing area. I'd recommend getting it down at least under 80. If you want quick responsiveness, even lower. If you want it to fly like its on rails, as low as 25.
@KCferrari the wing loading is 105.2lbs/ft2
@DisferGoatz try air starts. see what it does. if it doesnt have enough lift at over 200 mph with flat bottom wings, you need to check your wing loading
@KCferrari I actually did get it about 10 feet in the air but I couldn't keep it there
@KCferrari
I thought adding weight in the front would fix it, so I'll change it.
I will also change the wings to flat bottom.
Edit: No luck
@DisferGoatz have you tried making the forward wings flat bottomed, or perhaps lightening the nose?
@KCferrari yes but very lightly
by falls down gradually, do you mean it pitches down?
