Is there anyway for me to control a 2-axis turret (x and y movement) without interfering with the flight of the aircraft? I am using VTOL and trim for now, but I had to remove the ability to use trim to do so. Anyone have any ideas?

@Gestour Trust me, we've all been at that stage, although I shouldn't have to tell you that as you're the gold one.
Yikes! I think I bought the game two days before the 1.4 update, and I hadn't looked at all the parts yet, I was too busy making planes out of blocks.
@CrazyCodeC
@Gestour Nope. We basically had large rotators and air brakes only in the gizmos tab
Lol. Were there pistons then? @CrazyCodeC
@Gestour angrily
@CrazyCodeC trim has been here longer than me, so i don't know how you did it.
@Gestour I may just come back to this idea for now, trim is a small sacrifice for turrets. After all, we didn't have trim for the longest time, and we lived, right?
@CrazyCodeC I don't know if it makes any difference. just as long as you didn't use structural panels.
@Gestour I used horizontal stabilizers, should I have used structural wings?
@CrazyCodeC You used structural wings?
@Gestour Well, I've encountered a slight problem, these homemade control surfaces are horribly inefficient. A control surface about 2x the size of the original offers about 1/4 the effectiveness.
@CrazyCodeC ok, good luck. :)
@Gestour I'll try that.
@GoldenEagle Each turret uses its own action group, but there's no way for elevator trim to be activated/deactivated
Eliminate the stock control surfaces, build new ones using rotators on an activation group. Then you can turn off the control surfaces.
Other than that, I can't think of anything.
Try to use the ACT buttons(Act 1-Act 7) and put the turret controls there, that is what I used in one of my planes that I dont want to upload
