The majority of the planes I've uploaded have been based around an idea for a comic I had about a squadron of experimental fighters during WWII. So far I've uploaded planes from the UK, US, USSR, and Germany. Now I've come to Japan's entry into the series and I'm not sure what kind of plane to make or even what to call it.
Here are the planes/concepts I have so far:
UK
-PX-1A Wingblade: Tri-hull canard with twin props
-PX-1B Wingblade Heavy: A more compact tri-hull canard with twin props and improved engines.
-PX-1C Wingblade Ultimate: Tri-hull canard with Improved aerodynamics and twin jet engines.
US:
-PX-2A Swallow Tail: A twin prop lifting body.
-PX-2B Swallow Tail Ultralight: A twin prop lifting body with improved air-frame and engines.
-PX-2C Swallow Tail Black Streak: A twin jet engine lifting body/delta wing.
USSR:
-PX-3A Hammerfall: Conventional single prop plane with "motor jet" boosters and slightly forward swept wings.
-PX-3B Hammerfall Thunderclap: Conventional looking plane with twin counter rotating engines, improved motor jets, and more aggressively forward swept wings.
-PX-3C Hammerfall Fire (coming soon. I hit my upload limit): Conventional looking plane with twin over-wing jet engines and very aggressively forward swept wings.
Germany:
-MH-16 Skywolf (apparently German for Skywolf): Single hull canard/flying wing with twin props.
-MH-162 Skywolf Streik: Flying wing with twin over-wing jet engines
-MH-163 Skywolf Blitz: Single hull canard/flying wing with twin jet engines.
So what I'm look for help on is coming up with the core concept of the plane, a name for it, and at least 2 possible iterations of the original. Remember this is a top secret Japanese WWII fighter.
@Liquidfox If I can, I'm looking to avoid doing another canard like the J7W1 or J7W2. Haven't done something with the engines front and back like the Do-335. There is also the J4M1 to think about, but I feel like it's almost a P-38 knock off. The other question is what to call it since I don't fully understand Japanese naming structures.
@Liquidfox That's what I'm looking for help on. During the war the Japanese didn't do as much experimenting as Germany and the US did. So besides the J7W1 Shinden there's very little to use for inspiration. I had the same problem with the USSR before I finally cobbled something together.
