Little question...

41.5k MrVaultech  8.3 years ago

Okay, so while I was looking throught Luft '46, I discovered a plane, but not just amy plane, one that boggled my mind; The Focke-Wulf "Volksjäger".
Now, what screws with my mind about this plane is its weight. It weights 396 lbs (Or 180 kg for everyone who's not American), yet can reach 600+ mph (or 1000 km/h). Thats an insane lack of weight and speed for a first generation jet fighter. Really I'm impressed by that.
Now the question; can anyone build it?

@MrVaultech the reason it was so lightweight might be because of its high thrust rocket engine, and the fact it was built out of wood. (not the best combination)

@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation it was a rocket powered, low drag, low weight aircraft, and it DID fly, however, just because it flew does not mean it flew well. it was very unstable in the air and was not that maneuverable either. another example would be the TA-183 (there is a documentary about german planes somewhere and that was one of them)
