So my school had an egg drop today, and our group built a glider because that's a beautiful idea. Well, anyways the weight we were testing with wasn't equivalent to an egg, so the test runs were good. Time to do the real thing, and a nosedive 100ft up at 50mph. But, this is the part that bugs me: the egg didn't break! It was at the front as well!
one use a drone an sub fly it down using that
SimpleGliders... anyway, that sounds cool! Have any pictures of the glider?
@RailfanEthan I don't see why gliders aren't popular on egg drop
Did something similar. I used 2 rubber band Mustang kits , and put a small wood beam as the frame. The egg was placed on the front wings, and I put a second wing ontop of the egg. Lots of tape. Worked well, actually. It did land, without a stratch.
hmm cool and please put the off-topic tag on this
