After the fall of communism, the countries in NATO begin growing in economy's. There are very little wars, usually land disputes. We would reach the Moon in 1959 and Mars in 1971, evening leaving the solar system with a human in 2001 now that all scientists are working together. Then in 2017, all countries in the world united to become, The Republic of Earth, only then to unite controlling the Galaxy in 2079. The ROE would become the Republic of the Milky Way or RMW.
