For planes, or in general it would be useful to have strobe lights, landing lights, rotating beacon, nav lights. Helicopters would benefit from big chunky search lights.

@noscrews fine tuner mod, or xml editing for changing the size, changing the color is as simple as painting them

Beacon lights can also strobe, and also rotate if you put them on rotators
The beacon lights can serve as landing lights (just place then by the landing gear) also you can scale beacon lights for your big chunky search light needs.
