(Me)"WILLSON! FULL FORWARD TO THE HILL!"
(Willson)" Yes sir!"
We wore on our way to the American outpost when the Germans attacked us, I was lucky to survive unlike my crew.
December 7th 1945 05:36
our squadron consisted of 6 Black Prince tanks, 6 M4 Shermans and 2 troop trucks. We wore at the very back of the group and our job was to look out for enemy tanks that could attack from the back. Willson was our driver, I was the commander, Huey was on the gunner, jack was the loader and we had an Australian radio operator who we didn't like because he wasn't British and because he was young and under experienced.
(Huey)"I think I see something over on that hill"
(Me) "all tanks turn turrets towards the hill on the left!. There seems to be a tank"
Just then did we hear the whining of artillery
(Me)"ARTILLERY!"
After the artillery Tiger 1 tanks ambushed us,
(Jack)"TIGER 1! 2 O CLOCK!"
(Me) "TURN TURRET 40 DEGREES LEFT! ANGEL 20 DEGREES,
(Huey)"FIRE SIR?!"
(Me)"WAIT, WAIT, FIRE! WE GOT EM, THERE ENGINE IS OUT!
(Willson)"Nice!"
(Australian gunner)"Ahh sir"
(Me)"WILLSON FULL FORWARD! CHARGE EM!
(Australian gunner)" Sir there is a...
(Me)"NOT NOW TAKE THE 20 CAL!"
(Aus gunner)"Sir there is a tank aiming at us!"
(Me)"TURRET FULL RIGHT FIRE ON COMMAND!"
"FIRE!"
(Huey) "GOT THEM! THERE NOT FIGHTING ANYMORE!"
(Me)"BACK TO TANK ONE!"
(Jack)"RELOADED!"
(Me)"FIRE!"
(Willson)"ARTILLERY IS POINTED AT US!"
(Me)"HEADING
(Willson)"22-14-67!"
(Me)"RODGER, TURRET HEADING 22-14-67!"
(Huey)"SET!"
(Me)"FIRE"
(Huey)"ITS DOWN!"
(Willson)"THREE TIGERS, FORWARD!"
(Me)"REVERSE AND FIRE WITHOUT COMMAND!"
(All)"YES SIR"
After that we escaped and headed away from the attack into uncharted territory, enemy territory. We met up with a troop truck and we headed south together, or what we thought was south. We arrived at a small outpost that we thought was American but as we arrived we found out it was a German base that has been bombed.

As we entered the base we herd a loud bang and a shell hits near us,
(Me)"GET IN COVER!"
(Huey)"Sir the troop truck has been destroyed"
Suddenly our radio picks up a call and I answer.
(Me)"Hello? Hello?!
(Radio)"I know where you are I've got eyes on the enemy"
(Me)"Where are you?"
(Radio)"My tank is stuck in mud and my turret is jammed but I can direct you"
(Me)"what is the enemy?"
(Radio)"it seems to be and Saint Emil and I can't see the other one"
(Me)"I am ready to fire when you tell me"
(Radio)"reverse out and shoot they've got there guns on the front of the house your behind"
(Me)"Roger. Reverse slowly and fire on command"
(Driver&gunner)"yes sir"
(Me)"stop! That's enough, ok... ok... FIRE!"
(Aus gunner)"I think that was the big one"
(Me)"FORWARD IN COVER!"
(Willson)"YES SIR!"
(Radio)"ok the st Emil is immobilised and the other tank has just appeared and it looks like a tank destroyer but I have no clue what TD"
(Huey)"Reloaded!"
(Me)"Fire on command"
(Radio)"the other tank is pushing up!"
(Me)"how clo... OH TURRET FULL FORWARD!"
(Huey)"DONE!"
(Me)"FIRE!"
(Willson)"NICE SHOOT!"
(Me)"THAT THING IS STILL KICKING SHOOT IT!"
(Huey)"GOT IT"
(Me)"QUCKLY GET OUT AND RUSH IT!"
We jumped out and killed everyone inside but just as we wore leaving I remember an explosion and everything went black.
(Mumbled Voice)"come on come on we're not dying!"
I also remember the gunfire and explosions and not knowing what had happened. I woke up in a field covered in snow and I thought"I was in snow, I'm I still here?" I looked to my left and saw our black prince covered in dead bodies and to my right was the mistory TD ripped apart by an explosion. I got up and staggered over to our Black Prince and and I found that the dead bodies wore Germans "what happened" I said to myself. Then I opened the drivers hatch and found the Australian gunner holding a pistol to my face, "I thought you wore another German" he said "I had to kill so many people..." he added, "but it was for the best, your not a murderer". We later drove the tank back to our base and found that the Russians had pushed back the Germans and won the war." I know there will be more wars to come and I'll just get a new tank and win it"
