Near my home island,at the port, in the ionian sea, greece...
Lies this sunken beauty:
.
Nobody could identify the plane succesfully, even professional pilots had no clue...the crash wasn't recorded by the NTSB...Only by two local fishermen, who tell their story here. The airplane at first glance seems to be a piper or a beech bonanza, but if you take a closer look at the layout, the door is on the wrong side. If it has a left door, it's not a Piper, Mooney, Bonanza...
It could be a Meyers 200...but it too only has a right door. The closest guess we've seen so far is a Navion G Rangemaster albeit in a horrible state.
The beauty of the sunken plane...

Ohhh
I see The vtail Idk how
@FlipposMC oh
@nooo No, this is a single-prop plane.
Bonanza it has 2 propEller plane the the other propeller is just bended under the plane
Now looking at it agin it could be@FlipposMC
@Hayhayjam664 That's EXACTLY what it ISN'T. xD. It seems to be a customised beech bonanza of sorts or possibly a custom built Navion G. Rangemaster.
Looks like some type of Cessna
@Deloreandude lol
@Deloreandude oh, well i just read the other comments XD
Why not take it to land and identify it? It would surely be worth it.
@FlipposMC lol
@Alienbeef0421 At the time it was impossible to take it out (small islands didnt have any machienes to do it either) and was to heavy for divers. Later when our island did have machines and equipment the aircraft was too fragile so after the fisherman dragged it into the port it just stayed there...now it is a tourist attraction!
Reminds me of this
@FlipposMC Why didn't they lift it out of the ocean?
@EternalDarkness @KingDeadshot @Cedy117 I still think it is a customized navion, after all the two people rescued from it were paparazi. It was common for them to have navions (atleast here in greece).Whatrver it is it is highly customized, thats for sure.
Hmm interesting maybe a home built aircraft
My guess would be either Piper Arrow or Piper Cherokee. Notice the broken strutt that used to be in the middle of the windshield. Not many low wing planes have that.
@RailfanEthan Indeed a mystery...but the islands here are full of mysteries, with many more waiting to be uncovered
Strange.
