I have found my true calling...

14.2k CODENAMEBOB  8.0 years ago

I have located a GIGANTIOD 19th century sousaphone that is 4 feet tall and 2 feet tall... it was made in 1890 by an unknown creator.... I want that for Christmas. That's it. All I want is a sousaphone that is nearly my height and most likely twice my weight. There is a slight problem though. It costs around $1,600 and $300 to ship. This thing is VINTAGE and HUGE. I've already defied the standard for size when it comes to tuba, why not do it for the sousaphone?

Should I do it?

@GT3TobyRS a marching tuba. It wraps around the player so it's easier to carry

@MechWARRIOR57 oh :p. The sousaphone is the marching equivalent of the concert tuba (if you don't know what that is don't bother reading the rest of this), and came in four sizes: Monster, Grand, Jumbo, Giant or Grand Jombo. I've located an a vintage Giant sousaphone on the interwebz for a pretty decent price.
