Thrust Vectoring Exhaust Nozzle

There are ways to build a thrust vectoring engine (the VTOL engine is the easiest way), but when you try and swivel one of the other engines, the pivot point does not permit the intake air from reaching the engine(s), unless the intake is swivels with the engine. Other work arounds involve using VTOL nozzles placed creatively around the build. But, that just strikes me as completely unnecessary gyrations to emulate thrust vectoring. So, I think a great improvement would be to have another stock engine with a swiveling exhaust nozzle, just like on real-life counterparts (F-22, T-50, etc.). But, perhaps, that would make building a thrust vectoring jet too easy...?
