How come when an engine isn't connected to the main body of your aircraft (the part the cockpit is connected to) that engine will only pull fuel from the main body's fuel supply, even if there is fuel connected directly to the engines in question?

Same goes for weapons (not including guns), as they don't function if they're not attached to whatever the cockpit is attached to.

Not really a pressing question, just something I found while messing around.
