I like the mechanism! Unfortunately, many people (including myself) have already made wingless planes. However, I do like how (I think) you didn't use XML.
I'm thinking about making a huge plane here I've replaced the wings with fusalarge blocks at the moment. Inspired by the fact that my Scout Tundra always E seems to land like a cat when falling straight down from high altitude. The bonnet makes exactly the same amount of lift as the wing on the back. Which is weird.

I don't think so. I think he just makes them as symmetrical at the front and the back as possible while keeping them looking cool. @Swiftsure
