I wanted to let everyone know that I just updated the rules. We will no longer allow sympathy or memorial airplane posts. You can still post these in the forums, but we will remove any airplane posts along those lines.

@BaconAircraft ok
@Pacman126 "So Baconaircrafts airliner with bodganx will be banned? I know. He was only doing it to get upvotes."
.
Really, assuming something I do is one thing, but now saying stuff behind my back is another... You guys don't understand how good of friends Johndfg and I and how good of a builder he was. ...and just seeing him do something stupid on the site and banned, well..heartbreaking for me.
.
If I was doing stuff for upvotes, I would not be spending 40 hours of my life building 600+ partcount planes now would I? I'd probably be building little 30 part planes if I want upvotes...
.
Also, its not against the rules at the time of the publish.
Andrew Garrision: "@BaconAircraft No, the new rules won't affect any submissions that are older than this post."

@AndrewGarrison that would be great ^^
@AudioDud3 I had never considered that. I suppose we could do that sometime.
@demoman9 You've said that "Any public thing created in America or by Americans has to follow the constitution." This is where you're going wrong. This isn't a public thing - it's a privately-owned site that allows members of the public to post content on it. Being privately owned, they are allowed to set their own rules.
The actual text of the first amendment is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." Congress has made no law regarding what you're allowed to post on this site, so your first amendment rights are not affected.
Hopefully that's made things a little clearer, if not here are two articles going into it in more detail.
GOODBYE TO MY ACCOUNT ON FEBRUARY 2017!!!
What about rembering Pearl Harbor and 9/11?
@demoman9 look, it's like saying if you're in russia, and someone tells you to shut up, you say 'freedom of speech' but you're not in america.
@Testin123 I'm not saying it should be over the entire internet, just this website considering two of the Devs are American. Any public thing created in America or by Americans has to follow the constitution. That's why I complain about being stripped of my right.
Anyone here realize that IP bans are useless? We do live in a world of Dynamic IP's!
So, lets make up the rules as we go and when we feel we don't like UPVOTE's that the people decide, then we will SHUT IT DOWN!
Guess what MODS, the UPVOTE system is owned by the USERS not the MODS. You may make rules in your totalitarian internet world, but the USERS will always be able to rise up.
Maybe They will even walk away, or mod the program to have UPVOTES sent to another server and just override these silly rules.
By the way "Freedom of Speech" is enjoyed by more than the United States and it's Constitution.
Yes, I know this is UN law, but it is International Law. Which in fact should be upheld on the Internet. I don't condone swearing as Freedom of Speech, but all other expressions are valid as long as it isn't hurting someone.
United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948, provides, in Article 19, that:
Will take down the comment if it does affect you mods.
@demoman9 freedom of speech is only in america, not on the internet.
The ignorance of your statement is that you could be shoving it in someone's face that you have a freedom of speech, when it's an international website.
Websites don't go by that rule. That's America's law. Not the internet's law.
By signing up, You agreed to the rules.
@TheBigEgg no, the rules will apply to designs uploaded after the update to the rules.
@demoman9 I think you misunderstand the extent of freedom of speech. That applies to Americans under their constitution. It does not carry over to the Internet. As @MediocrePlanes said, your participation here is a privilege and not a right. You certainly may say anything that you wish here, but those words are not protected by the constitution of the United States and thus we are free to remove those words or to prevent you from speaking or participating here in any form. As I've told others... play nice or you won't be playing at all.
@demoman9
Using this website is a privilege not a right.
I thank your relatives for their service, however I don't think you should post memorials on a plane website where the only point of making these things would be to gain pity-upvotes for yourself.
I have removed you cussword-filled comment. If you harass users anymore, you will be temp banned.
If you continue to be a humbug, I will permaban you, and/or your IP depending on the severity.
Have a nice day.
