Yes, I know that many have suggested this. This post will include a possible way to implement a function to hide the HUD on a mobile device so the user can take decent screenshots.
So when the user pauses the game, they of course are presented with the side menu, which includes various options, including restart, exit, settings, spawn AI plane, etc. Another button could be added, like shown:

When the user presses the button, The hud should disappear.
But how would the HUD reappear? Simple. The HUD along with the pause menu would re-appear after the user taps the screen once.

Additional note: the plane in the picture was an old project of mine on my mobile, which I re-visited, and dang, I made it look (and fly) well.

@AaltonenIndustries I started on iOS, then moved to windows. I only use iOS when I am away from home, and I agree that it is clunky.
