drag problem/glitch help please

0 Ajihad  7.9 years ago

OK so... drag. drag in this game is oh so frustrating for me. when i start building my plane and start mirroring stuff and i bring up "show drag" to find out that one part has more drag than the other and the part is placed right where it should be to be symmetrical yet one part still has more drag! iv re mirrored and manually placed the part but it still has more drag! why!? Iv searched the forums and discussions for anyone that has had this problem or glitch or whatever this is and came around to posting my own. please if anyone has a solution or a link let me know so i may be at peace with this game. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/545299906227890146/4AD531F8E3C6B3C9D6B60E46350C52F6A285FA74/ here is and example of what im talking about the right intake has more drag then the one on the left http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/545299906227890008/C222E3BB075155405885D82B0A1A927FDBD16A83/ and here is another the right intake has more drag then the left and the right fuselage has more then the one on the right.

This may happen is your plane has nudged parts, or close to each other. The drag calculation isn't perfect, but this doesn't really affect anything on your plane.

I confirm that too. Mirrored part sometimes has uneven drag which causes aircraft to roll. This happens often and on tires - right or left has more drag. Opening the XML shows the parts are symmetrical

This is just a graphical glitch, just detatch the whole planes from the cockpit and rotate the plane a few times, if it persists try mirroring the other side of the plane or restart the game

@MechWARRIOR57 it does influence the plane. It causes roll.

and instead of putting those long links make them into clickable text by doing this

[what you want the link to say] (the url to the page)

    example:

    [pic 1] (http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/545299906227890008/C222E3BB075155405885D82B0A1A927FDBD16A83/ )

try it just remove the space inbetween them
