Hello, its me, I was wondering if someone could answer or explain this.
Everytime I think I have built something good, it hardly ever gets any attention. This can either be because of the time of upload, or just that I don't have many followers. Now I'm not saying I'm a newbie, but I find it kinda annoying when this happens. I then find a very high rated user(platinum) who has over 50 upvotes on the same type of my plane, and to be honest, mine was better, but because this guy has soooo many followers, he gets more upvotes. I know this is why spotlighting was introduced, but it doesn't always help, as I find it seems only people who have a reputation get more upvotes.
This comes to my questions : How does someone who is a newbie level up?? And don't say add more detail into your aircraft because no1. I have tried that before and still got no attention and no2. I am on IOS so it is much harder to add detail than it is for a computer user. If you made it this far through my post please take it seriously.
P.s. I'm not worried about not getting points, I honestly don't care. I just want my planes to be recognised, and so people know that they are there, instead of camoflaging in with the other planes while scrolling if they are all the same colour. I also like to see that people have downloaded my planes, so I know that they have been seen by at least 30-40 people because that shows that people have actually bothered to try my planes. I also find it annoying not being able to use mods on IOS because of apple's policies, because it seems like if you use the backgrounds mods and fine tuners and and coloured smoke trails and all that stuff your planes seem to get more attention cos they don't blend in with the other planes. When I say blend in and camoflage, I mean that if a bunch of planes are all grey(completely, usually you just skim them and don't pay attention to the details, whereas if you use a colourful background or plane, they stand out compared to the grey ones and people actually look at them.
P.p.s. Don't tell me "GO LOOK ON THE HIGHEST RATED PAGE OF ALL TIME AND SEE THAT MOST DON'T USE BACKGROUNDS!!" Because 1. MOST don't, some do, and 2. Most of them were created before backgrounds were introduced or they were made by players with tonnes of followers and they got trillions of spotlights and they are extremely detailed and all that, but most of them actually use modding and scaling and stuff, which ain't possible for IOS users.
P.p.p.s. Don't tell me to use steam and buy SP, because that is my parent's decision and I don't get a say when it comes to buying things on computers. It doesn't matter if it is a gift card or something I use, they will simply not allow any paid computer games.
I agree wit the mod IOS apple policy thing cause I’m on IOS too also I completely agree wit the entire post
@Kt1578 make a good replica or something unique that flies well...I guess...
When I first started, I started on android with no knowledge of modding (xml or actual modding.) The way I got attention was asking people if they could try my different planes and see how they like them. Though some bronze and silver players won't do that, most golds and platinums will generally be accepting on that.
Patience and some mates is all you need. I can be one of them. Just tell me.
XD lol I havn't ever had someone say that to me so I wasn't sure what it meant but thanks @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
@Kt1578 duh!
Is that like saying I should have more points than I do?? @MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation
you're so underrated wtf
Ok sure @MrSilverWolf
@Kt1578 actually if you want to make a post about it go ahead!
@Kt1578 I was thinking that would work because I've seen it in other games but idk if that will make more lag and frustration, or how hard that would be to actually put in the game
@Kt1578 I might do that actually
Thats a great idea, you should post that @MrSilverWolf
I actually thought of an idea, we could have it so there would be a few types of backgrounds that would be built into the game and there would be a option page that has the several backgrounds to pick from, so the option page would look like this,
Default Background [ Selected ]
Winter Background
Desert Background
Runway/tarmac Background
(Yes those are terrible names, I'm lazy and couldn't think of better name for these)
Idk if this would work or not, it's just a thought.
@Kt1578 totally makes sense
Read the p.p.s. And p.p.p.s. @MrSilverWolf @Tully2001
@Kt1578 well you can get detailed planes on IOS but it's very hard, I used iOS for an entire year and I decided to get the steam version because of the amount of lag and crashing once you get past 300/400 parts but detailed planes on iOS aren't impossible, just very hard
@Kt1578 ok I get it now, I was thinking it was a post about points, my bad

I'm now going to put what I just said into the forum. @MrSilverWolf
I actually don't get that many upvotes on my stuff, I don't really ever get more than 15 on average I do get to 25 or 30 on occasion. But it's not always about getting points, just build for fun and not for points, I honestly don't really care on how many upvotes I get on my planes, I simply build planes because it's fun, I don't really ever build for points because like I said it's not all about points. If you had fun making the plane, that's all that matters.
@Tully2001 yup lol
This is just like common even in real life. Remember when he/she's younger sibling (if any) was one year old and when he/she learns to walks, they are very happy while the older ones are usually dumped with responsibilities with less attention.
I know how you feel. This morning I uploaded my best gun post yet, and it only got nine upvotes.
JOIN THE AYY LMAOS
I put 3+ hours into my builds (I'm on Android with finetuner and overload) and i can barely rake in 1 or 2 upvotes yet one of my crappier uploads gets 6 (my highest for a single plane) while a newer one which is way higher quality. Gets only one. So i know the feels
