As the small ten seater plane flew over the rocky mountains the left engine suddenly gave out. Black smoke billowed out of the rear of the engine filling the cabin of the small craft. "Left engine down we can't hold this in the air much longer!"Mark derringer was the pilot and Aron Debbs was co pilot. The nose of the plane listed to the left. "We're losing altitude fast." Derringers voice came over the intercom. "This is your pilot speaking." We have lost our left engine and we are losing altitude very quickly. Im searching for a safe place to emergency land. Please if your a praying person this is a good time to pray." "Look a valley." "That's are best choice." The plane dipped towards the valley. " oh no the gear wont come down." "Pump it down then." "Im trying but its jammed." "Well i guess we belly land."
With the screeching of metal on rock and hard earth the plane slid. There was a flash of flame and the left wing was wrenched off. The craft turned violently to the left. The tail section was ripped half way off. Suddenly it was over. The right engine was smoking but it didn't ignite.
Am I alive? Mark checked himself. Beside a few cuts and bruises he was fine. He looked over at Debbs. He was slumped in his seat. A gash above his right temple ran to the back of his head. He was undoubtedly unconscious. Derringer disengaged himself from his seat. He stood shakily and made his way to the cockpit door. He turned the handle and pushed. Nothing happened. The door was jammed shut. He rammed it with his shoulder. Still nothing. There was a low groan from Debbs. "Hold on there Aron." "Ill get us out of here." "Ohhhh my head." It was a pitiful sound and derringer turned and started to tend for his co pilot. He took his own scarf off and wrapped it around his friends head. "There, that should staunch the bleeding for now. But, now we have to get this door open." He continued to his assault on the door and slowly but surly it started to open. Suddenly it gave way he went sprawling into the cabin of the plane.
Derringer slowly picked himself up and looked around. It wasn't a pretty site. Derringer made his to the back where the tail was hanging to the side. Surprisingly there very few injured people, there were certainly cuts and bruises. But what else happens when you're in a plane crash? The passengers were starting to stir some moaned others were asking what had happened. "We've crashed. We are in the Colorado Rockies. Im not sure what valley we are in, but we shouldn't be here for long. Just in case we need to prepare. First we need to take care of the dead and those who are injured the worst."
Derringer heard a slight movement behind him. He turned and saw Debb. He was a mess the scarf around his head around his head was bloodied and there was a trickle of it running down his cheek. Apart from the gash on his head he had another cut from his elbow up to his shoulder. Although it wasn't deep it had a fair amount of blood.
I just got the idea and started writing. If i can get some more ideas.
@Gtcool the lines the pilot say when the plane is crashing, just felt... off. The stuff he said over the intercom felt A little to blunt. Maybe go for something a little more indirect for what he says. Other than that, great!

This is good! A few things seem a little cliché.
