Is there currently a way to make functioning elevons? (pitch and roll using a single control surface) I've played around a bit with the .XML but haven't had any luck.

Start with ailerons, then set input to Pitch+Roll on the RH side, and Pitch-Roll on the LH side. See this plane for a working example: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/40xpIQ/Delta-Wing
Also look at this one for ruddervators, i.e. V-tail, based on the same principle, but with combined ptich and yaw:

@TylerThomason2 the living god himself Bogdan made multi input rotators almost immediately after the FT update was released, I used some and made my own. Usually for elevators with trim Pitch+Trim/4 is my go to
@TylerThomason2 I have elevons from a couple years ago using FT Pitch+Trim and Pitch+Roll functions, they’re pretty common on most of my planes and a lot of other users’ planes nowadays
Whatevs ._. Im blocking nots because I don't have time for this rn
@BaconEggs or r u just screwing with me ;/ which is what half of u be doing anyways
@BaconEggs wait you know who made it ? ..
I don't exactly stay here reading things I just build and post so idk who does what honestly , but I've searched for multi input rotators so many times and everytime including today , no real results of it , which was y I tried the old input + trick .. Which worked , but my previous attempts were quite ignorant like I'd just do stuff like this "(pitch-1,1 trim-1,1)" the legit function "Pitch+(Trim) " was my final attempt that worked , the previous attempts either had no affect or the rotator would auto move and you'd have to force it back using pitch so like a backwards affect or something
@TylerThomason2 ah yes random silver user the inventor of funt tree
make me a ft sanwich
@jamesPLANESii in other words they gave up and I didn't:/ , it still doesn't begin to explain y no one else in the community has posted legit multi input rotators , even if funky trees is considered to still be new , yes there's other posts of things with multi inputs , but actual rotators ? I'd say I'm the first since I literally had to because I couldn't find anyone who had already done it by searching it here
Funky trees were added in this update. Before then, if we wanted a rotator to move with more than 1 input, we had to stack rotators. You couldn't combine inputs with a plus or anything. Nobody responded to this because by then the post was over 3 years old and irrelevant, and the user probably could have worked it out on their own if they had been around for the following few months after the update. @TylerThomason2
@jamesPLANESii now I hope we're done here cause if not I'll have to just block you from notifications because I'm currently busy doing something and you suddenly sending stuff at random moments is a hassle
@jamesPLANESii ._. That was already clear to me , that it hasn't been around long, but what isn't clear and doesn't make logical sense is how still no one including you, bothered to even use it for xml on rotators instead of glitchinhg multiple rotators which just takes more space and in some cases causes lag :/ like i said you're all just too lazy to bother posting such things so I did it myself
@TylerThomason2 Funky trees were only added 2 years ago. This wasn't possible when this post was made. Also if you think you're the first person to find out you can do one input plus another, you need to spend more time here lol
The only posts I've ever found with rotators that have multi functions aren't even legit they're just 2 rotators stacked or glitched inside eachother , if you wouldn't call that lazy clearly you guys need a different mindset , it's not that difficult to figure things out if you just pause and clear your head focusing only on what you want to do
In my opinion you all should be grateful that I took my time to figure out how to make it work , and it actually only took me just a few minutes of typing different codes in till one worked so if an amateur who knows nothing about coding can do it , you all must just be super lazy to not have figured it out this long , literally cause all I've been doing is waiting for someone else to figure it out , but today I actually needed the function for a new build I'm working on , so like I said as the saying goes if you want something done you gotta do it yourself
@jamesPLANESii yet no one's figured it out except me so , and I know because I've been searching to see if anyone has for years and still no actual straight up results for single rotators with multi functions. I don't care how long ago it was , actually the fact that it's been this long and no one has posted anything else on the matter irritates me , the saying is true , you want stuff done you have to do it yourself
@TylerThomason2 Yo this was almost 5 years ago lol
@jamesPLANESii Pitch+(Trim)

Pitch+(Trim)
Or just whatever functions you want but in this exact format

@ChiChiWerx Yeah as of now this seems like my best bet. It would be nice if there was a way to assign more than one value to the input for control surfaces, but the rotator method isn't much more work. Thanks
