Yesterday, my parents took me for an early birthday present in Gulfport, as my birthday is on the 3rd. We arrived at the airport after about 2 hours and I was very nervous at first and extremely excited. We soon met a pilot who would be flying with me today, and after about 20 minutes of preparation we were on the runway. He did both the takeoff and the landing, but i got to fly once we were off the ground. It was AMAZING! It was greater than any video game could ever portray, and I could barely grasp the fact that we had gotten off the ground and soon 1500 ft in the air! I got to fly for about 25 minutes or so in the aircraft, I believe it was a Cessna 172 or 178 I dont really know civilian aircraft so forgive me if i got that wrong XD. It was truly amazing and most likely the best present I have ever received for a birthday or any special occasion for that matter. Anyways, I'm probably going to create a lot of stuff today as i really dont feel like i have anything to do today. So, for the first time in a while i will put out a good bit of aircraft even though it's Sunday and everyone is at church or something else! As always, thank you for viewing and please leave a comment and an upvote if you enjoyed! THANK YOU!!! :D
@BaconEggs one of the local restaurant owners in my town has a piper cub, and he keeps saying that he would take me up in the cub that weekend, but it's never happened and he's been saying that for about 4 years now lol
Well my first time in a light aircraft was when I was around 9 or 10 in a all blue piper Cherokee 140 (or 180 I forget) and that was for about an hour or so in the back, the first time I actually flew the plane was when I was around 13 and that was in the 172 (the plane in my profile pic, yes that exact plane) and again that was for about an hour or so, and I do all my flight training in that same 172 and was also the plane I did my first solo in
@BaconEggs Nice, that ought to be awesome! :D
Nice, my dad has a friend that owns a plane at the regional airport, probably Breakaway, around a mile away from my house. They plan to take us out and hand me the controls. Though it hasn't happened yet, it probably will sometime in a few months.
The window cover saved me from the horror. Well at least the 747 flight back to Cebu was a breeze, seeing fog (clouds, actually) flow over the wings, eating Smileys™ and peanuts. Oh, and did I mention how amazing the spoilers deploy?100kg of pure aluminum raised in a fraction of a second @Deloreandude
M8 I was 9...
It was a light turbulence though, I was on the window seat on the wing, and seeing the wings flutter like glitch gliders was pure horror for me @Deloreandude
@Alienbeef0421 Wow, turbulence on that must have been rough, it's a very big aircraft after all.
An A320 to Manila (from Cebu, an hour flight) @Deloreandude
@Alienbeef0421 What were you flying in?
My first flight was a treat: turbulence scared the life out of me
