I would love to have a view console.
like set a camera on your wings and be able to have a monitor in your cockpit that you can see that camera angle, or whichever camera angle you want, make it cycle. that would be cool!
I have seen the map mod where there's a little map monitor that you could put on the cockpit and various cockpit gadgets and whatnot.

@Sarpanitu Or perhaps release (Paid) expansion packs to supplement SP, I think the physics engine would have to be reworked a bit to have significant enough gains for SP2, methinks.
@Sarpanitu Honestly, you make a powerful point. If someone had enough initiative, they could develop this idea to fruition under it's own title. The opportunity is there precisely why your prediction of it never being seen is spot on. The devs are pre-occupied with SR2, and seem a little reluctant to dig into rehashing SP currently. Nice insight!
@Kerbango Interesting ideas, I wouldn't be sure how to implement, but I'll bet it would be no problem for @gestour.
You know what I have gotten to work is using Trinus with my phone for the 3D thing, and it worked pretty well. In most flight games, you just link the gyro output to the camera controls, and you control the view with your head motion, so you can look left/right, etc.
