Hi all,
I wanted to know if there's a way to disable the base mesh of a beacon light (the part that doesn't shine).
if you can thanks.
Hi all,

Thanks ProvingMars, I'd like to upload my plane to show you what i want, but it's full of modded parts and i can't upload it.
In that build there are two small rotators, one large rotator, and the horizontal stabilizers (h. stab's). The two sm. rotators work just fine for roll, but pitch swings the stab's up and down. Take a close look at the sm. rotators as you operate the pitch and you will see what is happening. I think this same affect should be seen with pistons, although I have never tried.

To make this work I used direct xml editing of the connections, but attaching a part and then moving it with Fine Tuner [or the likes] should have the same affect. I use direct editing when I need more control, such as breaking secondary connections.

I've got it. Just click or tap. More to follow.
@Agung44 Thank You for flaging me.
@MisterT Sorry, I have been away for a while; hours.
Ghost Linking is a term I use for having a connection to a distant part. The distant part moving causes the linked, but not adjacent, part to move as well. I found this when I connected one rotator to another and then to a distant part. Using the second rotator worked just fine, but the first rotator caused the part to wave around, as if connected by a long bar. This was due to the second rotator, itself, being rotated.
I had better dig up the link to that first mishap I had, so you can see what I am talking about. Be back shortly.

Hi ProvingMars, I already scaled the beacons to be just like i want, but i don't know what is" ghost link".
@MisterT haveyou tried making the sight beackons small, and retractible (by ghost link)?
NP, thanks anyway.
Then I don't think there's a way. Sorry :/
Ok, thanks, but my light is for a gunsight, so it floats in the air.
Not really, you can nudge the light into the surface you placed it on so that just the light is showing
