"Traverse turret right!" Commander Warden shouted into her headset, and Lewis, the gunner, immediately followed through. He knew better than to mess with Warden. Through his periscope, Lewis barely made out the form of a hulking machine, slowly crawling out from the tree line. BOOM! The air around the tank sizzled with the heat of the round passing by, barely grazing the side of the turret ring. From out of the gloom came a monster of a tank, menacingly advancing, its 150mm cannon pointed right at them. Perez, the driver, quickly changed direction and watched as the German monstrosity tried to follow their manouver. It's rectangular turret and sloped armor gave it the impression of something taken from the Russians, yet the Balkenkruz on the hull said otherwise. "Fire into the lower glacis, Lewis!" Commander Warden was calm but firm with her order, and Lewis did as he was told. BOOM! He fired one shot into the lower glacis, but the shot bounced off of the armor. "Perez, bring us around to the side!" Perez shifted gear and fiercely drove the T58 around to the side. "Lewis, fire!" Warden shouted, knowing where the weak spots were. Lewis didn't fire. "Lewis, I told you to fire! What are you doing?"
"I'm waiting to get a clean shot, ma'am," he responded. "The rear armor is weaker."
"Trust me on this, it's not. Fire into the side of the engine!" Warden was starting to get frustrated, angered that her comrades weren't listening. "Perez, keep us moving. Get around to the other side!" Perez did as he was told, and moved the tank into higher gear. The German tank's turret stopped, then began moving in the opposite direction. Warden, frustrated and starting to get worried, opened her cupola and clambered for the machine gun. She fired a burst at the enemy commander's cupola, and a few shots managed to hit the viewports. She went back inside just as Perez came around to the back of the tank. Lewis fired, and the shot bounced down into the dirt, spraying mud and dust into the air. "Lewis, listen to me, you fckimg idiot! Fire into the sides of the fcking tank. I know what I'm talking about!"
"Sorry, Warden! We've got two shells left in the magazine, so I'll make 'me count."
"You better make 'me count, Lewis! Otherwise I'm not buying drinks when we get back." Perez brought the T58 around to the side of their German tank, slowing down so that Lewis had a better shot. Lewis aimed, pulled the trigger, and fired off another round. The shell ricocheted off the side of the turret. "Dammit!" he whispered. This time, he aimed lower, towards the engine. BOOM! The German tank fired again, bouncing off of the side of the turret, knocking off sleeping bags Andresen tools on the process. "Fire!" Warden yelled again. Lewis fired, and the shot went straight through the side. The engine exploded, flames shooting everywhere. Fuel was flung into the nearby trees, setting them ablaze. Warden screamed with joy, fist-bumping the air in front of her. Lewis let out a held breath, wiping his forehead with the back of his sweaty hand. Perez remained silent, being careful to keep his distance from the burning tank. The commander's hatch opened, and a man in German uniform jumped from the top of the turret. Even to Lewis and Warden, the snap of his leg was audible. The celebrations inside the tank stopped immediately. The German slowly got up and hobbled back to the tank, and painfully climbed back onto the front. Then, the driver's hatch opened, and a young man quickly clambered out of the tank. He and the commander reached back into the tank and pulled a woman in uniform out, who was trying to cover her eyes. Where they should have been was burned deep brown, almost black, and the skin around the burn was flaking and peeling away. Her screams reverberated throughout the American tank, causing Warden to gasp. "Stop the tank," she said softly.
"Sorry, commander?" Lewis retorted.
"I said stop the tank, Perez." Warden started to open her hatch, reaching for the Tommy gun and first aid kit as well. Perez stopped the tank, and Lewis turned the turret towards the enemy crew. Warden climbed down from her tank, and pointing the Tommy at the enemy, threw the first aid kit at them. "Do any of you speak English?"
@Pilotmario
I'd just use the nukes. @DisferGoatz
Pretty much, there's an American tank and a German tank. The American try's to destroy the German tank and the bullets keep missing, until finally one destroys the German tank and injures its crew.
@Awsomur
That's just what I'd say a tl dr version would be
Is there a tl;dr version?
