Consider this : android features : u can download unknown files , fine tune , XML , try sp mods ( at the cost of low grafics)
iOS features : better framerate and grafics (no mods no unknown files no XML no fine tune)
WHICH ONE IS THE BEST

@tylerdeveneuxmusic thanks for telling me what you think!
@Clawsome if you have a high end android you basically have everything. Mods, good graphics, xml modding. I'm pretty sure if you buy a high end android, it will have high graphics with little to no lag(depends on the type of phone and basically the condition)
Pffff low graphics? I have the best frame rate for android in a 200 part plane. I can run a 1 400 part space ship with about 1 fps. I always have everything on high and there is nothing wrong.
Android, that's like asking Ubuntu vs Windows.
@SazonAir yes
Ok that’s reasonable @SazonAir
android ios is restrictive
For the straight app it’s obviously iOS no question (ahem @SazonAir). I have an iPhone 6s which runs anything that the website allows me to download without lag. That being said I would switch to playing sp on a high end android evice I would just for the additional capabilities
Indeed, indeed
@SlowJet
Android.
Hands down, Android. It's pretty obvious why.
Just as most people said below, being able to use mods is a big, big plus to it. I don't care too much aboit its visuals as long as I can, say, download one of my aircraft that I made on PC and fine-tune some of its shapes when I can't access my laptop.
Now, I know I'm teasing, but I'm building an upgraded AMX 50B. If I weren't able to finish it on PC I would more than surely upload an unlisted version of it and try to continue the work on my phone.
On iOS, you surely can't do that.
android, unless if you want to build stuff using stock parts, or other designers parts, and posting forum posts about xml modding requests, that usually take days and then waiting for the modder to finish your request...and then getting started on you plane then IOS.....clearly go for android, there are good android devices (1110MB+ available ram/2GB of RAM High snapdragon processors, adreno GPUs) that are way more less expensive than apple devices
Personally, you should take android just cause then you're not wasting days waiting for someone to see your forum post and then hoping they also make the modifications you need that you can't do if you were on iOS.
(Coming from an iOS user)
@pavthepilot ik, I was agreeing with General
@Alienbeef0421 good to know I am glad that android can run complicated creations as well , thanks
An Android with at least 2gb RAM and a Snapdragon processor (or any processor with an Adreno 530 or higher OR a MediaTek processor with a Mali TSeries) would run SP lagless until 500 parts. Too bad my J1 MP has a Spreadtrum processor and a Mali 400MP.
@Awsomur damn that's awesome if the iOS developers would let us to download unknown things I would buy a iOS device to
I'm using high graphics and flying 200+ part planes and I've got good framerate. @pavthepilot
@Awsomur I am using slow grafics and I have a good framerate
@Awsomur thanks for ur answer
For SimplePlanes, it is probably an Android device, only because there are mods. But only their newest ones can run SimplePlanes well, and most Android users are using devices that are old by Android's standards.
But as a device all around, iOS is my one and only. I tried using the Android operating system, but it was so slow and so complicated I hated it. iOS is fast, clean, responsive and user-friendly. Even Apple's "low end" devices run SimplePlanes like it werent even there. And mods? Pift, I don't really care. I mean there cool and all but you can still make amazing things without them.
@TTHHSSSS i was not talking about pc i was talking about Android or iOS
PC all the way (Alienware 15 r3 with gtx 1070!!!!) @General360
@SazonAir lol ur right
@MechWARRIOR57 I wanted to tell u that ur right and I forgot to tell
